Job description

We are looking for a HSE Manager develop new policies related to safety, health, and environmental concerns. He/She will be implementing new equipment, creating training programs, or adopting strategies to improve productivity while maintaining compliance with safety standards.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Standardize best HSE practice in Malaysia plant and Indonesia plant
• Ensure both Malaysia and Indonesia plant comply to local legal regulations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management strategies.
• Lead investigations into accidents or incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct inspections and audits to assess compliance and safety measures.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
• Manage environmental impact and promote sustainable practices.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of HSE activities.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives for continuous enhancement.
• Provide HSE training and education to employees.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline is typically required.
• Minimum 9 years of working experiences in related field.
• Green Book certification is a MUST.
• Strong knowledge of local and national HSE regulations in Malaysia is essential.
• Practical experience in HSE management, including program development and compliance.
• Experience and familiarity with industry hazards and safety requirements. Experience in food industry will be an advantage.
• Proficient in risk assessment and management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Excellent employee’s engagement skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Relevant certification or experience such as Confined Space, Wastewater Treatment Process, Clean Air Regulation, ISO45001 and ISO 14001 are advantageous.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and best practices.
• Having working experience in Malaysia and Indonesia will added advantage.
